Buying a Twin Stroller With Car Seats
In the early days of your baby, you might choose to go with a lightweight frame stroller that is compatible with two infant car seats. Some of the best options include the UPPAbaby Vista V2 Double or Joovy TwinRoo+.
This model allows you to rotate the car seat in the opposite direction or in the same. It also comes with a large storage bin, which can be accessed without the need to take off the infant carriers. It can also be easily fit through most doorways.
Ease of Folding
The UPPAbaby Vista V2 is a massive, stunning twin stroller that can carry two infant car seats fitted with the correct adapters (car seat adapters are sold separately). It is easy to push and glide with a smooth, smooth spin similar to a single-seat stroller. It comes with adjustable leg and footrests and a huge UPF 50+ canopy, a peekaboo windows, and padded five-point safety harnesses. You can use the included toddler seat, or choose to add the RumbleSeat which is a bassinet-like seat for infants and small children. The large storage basket provides plenty of room for all your belongings and features four cup holders, as well as a place to keep your purse or phone.
It isn't easy to fold, particularly if you are holding the handlebar with one hand while holding the child's seat in the second. You'll also need remove the rear seat from its base in order to fold the stroller, which can take longer than other double strollers we tried. The company has updated its Vista stroller to work with the new car seat adapters. The new version, which will be launched in April 2023) will work with both the original and updated adapters in both positions and it will even fold with two of the adapters connected at once.
The Joovy TwinRoo+ is our preferred twin stroller frame that fits infant car seats. It is compatible with 23 different car seat models and allows you to carry both babies in their infant carriers side-by side. It is a favourite for parents who drive small cars. The clever design cuts down the overall length so that it can fit better into certain trunks. The seats are comfortable and padded, and they can be reclined in a variety of positions by pressing a button. The buckles were among the easiest to secure and remove in our tests.
The only drawback to the TwinRoo+ is that its bench seat is designed for a big kid who's at minimum 2 1/2 years old. So it's not suitable for twins or siblings that are close in age. However, it's a great option for families who wish to run and its sturdy structure means that the frame will not wear out as quickly as other tandems we've tested.
Wheel Suspension

The wheel suspension of a twin stroller equipped with car seats is an important feature as it helps make it more comfortable for your kids. This is especially true if you are walking over bumps and rough terrain. Strollers with suspension generally have larger wheels and more shocks. The more shocks a stroller comes with the smoother its travel.
A twin stroller with car seat that is easy to steer will be more durable. It will last longer and is ideal if you are planning to use it for a number of children or over a long period.
One of the best twin strollers that come with car seats for infants has an excellent suspension on the wheels, and it's an old model that's been around for a while The Baby Trend Snap-N-Go Double. It's loaded with features that parents appreciate, such as two cup holders, a console for parents with a cup holder, and a storage basket that can accommodate lots of items. It also has a height-adjustable handle that can be useful for taller parents.
Another option for twins with infant car seats is the Chicco BravoFor2. This is a sit and stand stroller that could be used as a twin stroller or with an infant seat that is placed in the front. It's a large stroller and folds up to a compact size. It also has some nice touches that we like such as magnetic straps for the crotch that can be closed and opened by using just one hand.
It also comes with a 5-point harness, which is crucial because it will keep your kids secure in case of an accident. This feature isn't always found on strollers, but it is a must for families with toddlers or infants.
The Contours Options Elite V2 is another top choice for twin strollers that can accommodate carseats. It has all the features we like, including the ability to reversibly seat and recline one hand, the ability to compress the padding on both seats, adjustable legs rests, a zippered extension for both canopy, and a large storage. It also comes with adjustable height handle and a modernized seat design that makes it simpler to flip the seats around when you're on the move.
Canopy
A quality canopy will keep your children shielded from the rain or sun and some models have extra features like an open window or adjustable handles. One of our top choices, the BravoFor2 has an front seat with a buckle that is adjusted at the waist and around the shoulder. This makes it simple for a single parent to take two kids out. The bench seat is able to accommodate children who are at least 2 1/2 years old therefore, it's not suitable for twins or smaller siblings. This stroller is compact and comes with handles on both sides to help take it to the car.
Some parents may prefer a stroller with a side-byside design because it's less prone to sibling squabbles. These strollers allow parents to be able to talk and observe both children simultaneously. On the downside, side-by-side models are often heavier and longer than single strollers.
If you're looking for a lightweight option, our budget choice, the Baby Trend Double Snap-N-Go, is an affordable and highly rated option. It can accommodate two car seats for infants. The newer version allows them to be placed in either direction. We found the latest model to be smaller than the previous model, however it still weighs a little more and is larger than the Joovy TwinRoo+.
Jeep's Urban Glide 3 is our top-rated twin-jogger that parents prefer to run. It can hold one car seat at a given time. It also works with 23 different brands of car seats via the click-in-adapter, despite the fact that it doesn't come with an infant carrier included. It's a sturdy, well-made stroller, which can handle large loads without strain. We also liked how the handles can be adjusted to suit your height.
If you have two kids of the same age you may prefer an option that allows you to sit and stand, such as the Joovy Twin Roo+. This stroller can accommodate a pair of infant car seats or a single toddler seat and offers a standing platform that allows older children to stand on. It's a tad more expensive than our budget stroller but it's made by a small family-owned company with a great customer service.
Seating
If you're planning on using car seats for twins who are infants the stroller that supports them will be essential. Our top-scoring strollers work with the most popular car seat brands. For instance, the UPPAbaby Vista v2 double works with two car seats, and the Joovy Twin Roo+ accommodates one car seat as well as bassinet (sold separately). We prefer strollers that can work with a variety of infant car seats brands since it allows you to shop a wider range of prices without being locked into a specific brand.
You'll want to decide whether you prefer a tandem or a side-by-side stroller. A twin stroller that is side-by-side offers a more traditional seating configuration and is more maneuverable -- particularly in restricted spaces or when crossing curbs. A tandem stroller can be unstable and require more space between the seats. The different seat heights could result in an argument between siblings.
There are a variety of strollers available for families with twins or children of the same age. The Baby Trend Sit & Stand double stroller , for example is a highly rated option and compatible with car seats. This allows parents to take their children in comfort from their car to the stroller.
The stroller's front and rear storage baskets are large, too. They're ideal for storage of all your belongings, including diaper bags, backpacks and even extra clothes. The front storage also comes with a place to store keys and phones. The baskets are equipped with mesh sides to prevent items from falling out, so you won't have to keep rummaging for them.
Another option that is budget-friendly is the Evenflo Pivot Xpand Double stroller, which offers a similar range of features as some of our top award winners. Its seats can be converted into two toddler seats or modified bassinets. They can be combined with two infant car seats. This makes it an ideal option for twins starting from birth through early childhood.
